Clark County Preparing 1000 Acre Site

A 1000-acre site that had once been set aside for a Sun Paper facility in Gum Springs, AR is now being prepared for other potential industries.

The plans for the Chinese company to build on the site were put on indefinite hold due to international relations between China and the US. As a result, the Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance is now working with Entergy’s business and economic team to determine the steps needed to make the site certified as shovel-ready for other industries. While this may take several months, it will allow the Alliance to market the site as a premier location in Arkansas.
