HOPE, AR – Leadership Hope-Hempstead County completed their Government/Tourism program with a busy fact filled day of tours recently. They were treated to breakfast by Leadership Alumni Lindsey Townsend and Wendy Jones who also planned their programs for the day. Their first tour was of the Hempstead County Courthouse where they learned a lot about court proceedings and visited each office.
Next, they had a self-guided tour of the Hope Train Depot & Visitor’s Center. If you have never visited there they encourage you to do so.
Thank you to Klipsch Museum of Audio History for hosting their next tour. It is always spectacular to hear about Mr. Paul Klipsch and hear the amazing speakers.
Lunch sponsored by Lance & Associates Real Estate at the Williams Tavern in Old Washington was wonderful as always, we definitely recommend. Thank you Lance & Associates Real Estate!!
The final tour in Old Washington included the 1914 Schoolhouse and the James Black’s Shop where the first Bowie knife was made. They actually got to see the Blacksmith in action! They ended with a scurry tour around Old Washington.
Thank you to everyone that was involved in making LHHC Government/Tourism Program Day a huge success!
